Privacy Policy

Last updated August 31, 2026

This policy explains what data SnapDub (snapdub.ai), operated by Aheront Ltd, a company based in Bulgaria ("we", "us"), collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It reflects how the Service actually works.

1. Data we collect

2. How we use it

To run the processing pipeline (transcription, moment detection, translation, optional dubbing/voice-cloning, optional lip-sync, captioning, and 9:16 export), deliver your clips, manage credits and billing, keep the Service secure, and prevent abuse. We do not sell your personal data or use your videos to train models for third parties.

We don't routinely watch your videos, but we may access, scan, or remove content where necessary to operate the Service, resolve a support request, or enforce our Terms - including the prohibition on stolen/infringing and illegal content (such as sexual, extreme-violence, or abuse material). Illegal content, in particular any child sexual abuse material, is removed and reported to the relevant authorities.

3. Where processing happens & who we share with

We rely on a small set of subprocessors:

4. Connected posting accounts (TikTok, Instagram & YouTube)

Connecting a platform is optional, available from Settings, and only requests the minimum access needed to post a clip for you. You can disconnect at any time, which immediately deletes the stored tokens; access/refresh tokens are encrypted at rest while connected, and we never see your platform password.

Google API Services User Data Policy. SnapDub's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Voice & likeness

A reference voice sample is used solely to produce the dub you requested for that job and is not used for any other purpose. Because voice and face data can be sensitive, you must have consent from anyone whose voice or likeness you process (see our Terms).

6. Data retention & deletion

Your source media and clips are retained while your account is active so you can access them. Public demo links are automatically deleted after 14 days. You can delete individual projects/clips at any time. Backups and logs are purged on a rolling basis.

Deleting your account (right to erasure). From Settings → Delete account (or by contacting us) you can erase your account at any time. When you do, we immediately and permanently: (a) delete all your source videos and clips, and their stored files; (b) delete and revoke any connected posting accounts (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube) and the access tokens we held for them; and (c) anonymise your account - your name, email address and password are wiped so nothing that identifies you remains.

What we retain, and why: an anonymised record of billing/credit transactions where we are legally required to keep financial records, and a hashed/limited signup identifier used solely to prevent free-credit abuse and fraud (our legitimate interest). These no longer identify you.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location (e.g. under GDPR/UK GDPR or CCPA) you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can erase your account yourself at any time (see section 6), or exercise any of these rights by contacting us - we respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

8. Cookies & local storage

We use essential cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in, an optional "remember me" cookie, and a cookie that records your cookie-consent choice. If you accept the cookie banner, Google additionally sets analytics and advertising cookies on our public pages - see the next paragraph.

On our public pages (the homepage, demo links, and sign-in/sign-up) we use Google Analytics (GA4), to understand how visitors find and use SnapDub, and Google Ads, to measure our own advertising. Until you accept the cookie banner both run in a consent-denied mode: nothing is stored on your device, no identifiers are used, and Google receives only cookieless signals that cannot be tied to you. If you accept, they set analytics and advertising cookies and measure your visit normally - which pages are viewed, how far a page is scrolled, and navigation between pages. If you decline, or ignore the banner, they stay in the cookieless mode. Neither runs on the signed-in product itself. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google processes this data.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed, connected-account OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest, worker callbacks are signed and token-authenticated, and access to media is scoped to your account. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

10. International transfers

We're based in Bulgaria (EU), but our storage and compute providers may process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) as required by GDPR.

11. Children

SnapDub isn't intended for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

12. Changes & contact

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Privacy questions? Contact us.
