For developers

How do I connect SnapDub to my own tools?

Two ways in. Let an AI assistant do the asking, or let your own code do it. Both make the same clips on your account and your credits.

In an AI assistant

MCP connector

Add SnapDub to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client, sign in once, and ask in plain words.

  • Make clips from a YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Rumble or Zoom link
  • Read your clips best first, with titles, scores and download links
  • Find live clipping campaigns and check your credits

Included on every plan, the free one too.

From your own code

REST API

Call SnapDub with an API key from n8n, Make, Zapier, a script or your own app.

  • Make clips and read them back as JSON
  • Schedule clips to your connected TikTok, YouTube and Instagram
  • Read views per clip and what campaign clips earn

Included with every paid plan.

Importing into a tool? The whole API is one OpenAPI 3.1 document: openapi.json

Which one do I need?

Most people only need one. Some use both.

FAQ

Questions about MCP and the API

Can I use both?

Yes. They work on the same account, the same projects and the same credits, so clips made in an assistant show up in the API and in the app.

Does the MCP connector cost extra?

No. It comes with every plan, the free one too. Making clips through it spends the same credits as making them in the app; reading costs nothing.

Which plan includes the API?

Every paid plan. Create a key in SnapDub under Settings, API keys; it is shown once and you can revoke it any time.

Is there an OpenAPI spec?

Yes, an OpenAPI 3.1 document at /api/v1/openapi.json. Import it into n8n, Make, Postman or a code generator, or read it in the API reference with code samples in several languages.
