On the free tier OpusClip watermarks everything and the clips stop being exportable after 3 days. On $15/mo Starter and on Pro they are kept 30 days, and keeping a project indefinitely is a Pro feature with its own storage limit.

What differs is how long, and ours runs longer than the one competitor here who publishes theirs at all: 14 days free against their 3 days, 30 days on our €9 Starter, and 90 days on Pro against their 30 days. Download anything you want forever - the file is yours once it is on your machine, and we email you before a project goes.
One OpusClip credit is one minute of what you upload. A 60-minute podcast costs 60 credits whether you take two clips out of it or twenty. If you cut lightly that is generous. If you mine a long recording properly, you are paying the same for far more work.
Their Starter renders 9:16 only; 1:1 and 16:9 start at Pro. If you post the same clip to a feed and to a vertical surface, that decides your plan before anything else does.

Get your clips out first. If anything you still want is on a free-tier three-day clock or a 30-day one, download it before you cancel. Nobody sends a reminder.
Work out your real month, not your best month. A tool that is cheaper at four hours of recording can be the expensive one at twelve, and the reverse is just as common - it depends entirely on whether you are billed for what goes in or what comes out.
SnapDub's free tier is 500 credits a month, refilled every month, with the editor included and no expiry on anything you make - clips are watermarked until you subscribe. OpusClip's own free tier is 60 credits a month, watermarked, and the clips stop being exportable after three days.
The files you already downloaded are yours and stay yours. What expires is the ability to export them again from inside OpusClip: three days on the free tier, 30 days on Starter. So the practical answer is to download anything you care about before you stop paying.
It depends on the shape of your month rather than its size, because these tools do not bill for the same thing. Klap counts the clips you take out, AutoClip and OpusClip count the minutes you put in, Submagic counts people on your team. Our calculator puts all four on your own numbers.
